Double Date
Last night, Tristan and I got dinner with some new (to me) friends, Dima and Lisa. I had met Dima about a year ago when Tristan and I were looking at apartments, but didn't see him again until a couple weeks ago when I was given the opportunity to shoot a commercial with his wife, Lisa. Lisa and I had a very long day, but when our boys came back at the end of the shoot, we all decided we needed to hang out again. So we had a double date at a yummy restaurant called Silver Cloud. Lisa and I ate grilled cheeses and tomato soup, and Tristan and Dima had fish steaks. (One of quite a few things I was noticing we had in common.) We had some great conversations and decided to stop by The Wormhole for some coffee before parting ways. It was so refreshing to hear them say they really appreciated us making plans to hang out with them and they really had a great time and already wanted to make plans to hang out again soon. I've missed having friends like that. This weekend is the gallery showing for the commercial we shot for the new Goshi art app for iPhone, so Tristan and I are going to meet them there either Friday or Saturday. I'm sure our next hangs will involve dinner and a movie at one of our apartments. Hooray for friends!
Here are some stills from the commercial Lisa and I shot:
(If you're asking why I look scared, it's because my character was supposed to be awkward and anti-social and Lisa's was supposed to be crazy and eccentric.)
